Resident Government Council (RGC) is the student association for the community you live in. Each of the 18 communities of the Hill and University Apartments-North (UA-North) has a resident government council of appointed and elected student representatives. You get to do important and cool stuff for your fellow students, like decide how student money is spent, who Residential Life partners with, socials, and more!

For more information on RGC, please contact your Assistant Resident Director or Mike McCormack at [email protected].

Each of the 18 RGC has four stipend Cabinet postions:

The community president serves as the executive of the association, running meetings and working with teams to accomplish goals.

The community treasurer ensures student money is being administered in accordance to the best interest of the residents, including ensuring reimbursements are issued timely.

Both the president and treasurer roles are appointed via an interview process with building ResLife leadership and students

The On-Campus Housing Council (OCHC) Representative serves as the community spokesperson at Policy Review Board meetings (weekly meetings on Tuesday from 5 PM-6PM with Housing and Campus administrators) and the OCHC General Board Meetings.

The Outreach Representative works on two housing committees: Team Green (sustainability education and programming) and the National Residence Hall Honorary (community service and recognition). The Outreach Representatives work on large-scale education and social events for the residents of the Hill.

OCHC Reps and Outreach Reps are elected by a community vote administered by the Assistant Resident Director of each community.
